Finally Malabar is going to get its share of space in the IT map of kerala, the cyber parks being developed by Kerala IT Mission and ULCCS is going to bring revolution in the industrial development of the sleeping tiger Kozhikode and in general Malabar through the hub of Kozhikode and spokes coming up at Kannur and Kazaragode. Kozhikode does have a lot of advantages for IT development and the most important of it is, its statergic location, all major industrial centers are very near to calicut and very well connected by air, roads, and railways, another one would be the presence of premiere educational institutions like IIM, NIT, etc. The availability of very high level local talent pool also add up on it.
The Cyber Park on completion would directly provide job opportunities for 1500 personnel and to more than 6000 people indirectly. The maiden tower is expected to be completed by 2011. And it would become fully operational by 2025. The development cost of the Cyber Park is pegged at 550 crores. The availability of cheap labour, the presence of trained human resources, access to road-rail connectivity and an international airport will turn Cyber Park into a cynosure of all eyes. The infrastructure development will begin shortly. The facilities like establishing a 110 KV power station, construction of approach roads, sewage plant, rain harvest-water supply system etc will also follow suit. The first tower will come up in 4 lac sq ft area. Of this, 1.5 lacs will get completed in 2011. With that job opportunities for 1500 people will be created directly and for another 6000 indirectly. The first phase of construction will commence in July. A total of 40 lac sq ft area will be completed within 5 years. The same area is expected to be built at U L Cyber Park. The first tower will accommodate Software Development Block, Incubation Centre, Training Centres etc. The total project cost is estimated at 95 crores. An annex in 30000 sq ft will also be built to facilitate small and medium scale companies. The construction will be completed by October 2011.
The satellite centres at Kannur and Kasargode will also have a constructed area measuring 1.5 lacs Sq Ft and will be completed by 2011. Those centres will also have Software Development Block, Incubation Centre and Training Centres. The total project is estimated at 57 Crs. The internationally acclaimed Canon Design International is designing the Cyber Park. A Cyber Park of this kind could have been streamlined in Malabar region at least two decades back.

He said that the project work is going on, on a fast track basis and the final plans will be ready by April 10th. Metro International Cardiac Centre is a new super specialty hospital coming up at Kozhikode and is going to be the first and largest exclusive cardiac specialty hospital in Kerala. The project is underway and is expected to get inaugurated in near future. Dedicated entirely for cardiac care, Metro International Cardiac Centre, after completion, will be functioning in a 12 storied building with more than one lakh sq.ft area. This centre is not just another hospital, but a centre which wants to provide heart care on par with international standards. Two most advanced flat panel Cathlabs - one dedicated for Electrophysiology work, facility to perform all vascular interventions including Cardiovascular, Peripheral and Cerebrovascular, operation theatre complex with facility to perform more than ten open heart surgeries a day, facility to perform all cardiac surgeries including cardiac transplantation etc are a few to mention. Air ambulance is yet another specialty of this hospital. To enable the same, there will be helipad facility at the top of the hospital to shift patients from any part of Kerala within a short span of time. This project is being envisaged under the able leadership of renowned Interventional Cardiologist Dr.P.P.Mohammed Musthafa, who is the Managing Director and P.P. Mohamed Kutty as its Chairman.

Project introduction.
Infrastructures Kerala Ltd (INKEL), established by the Government of Kerala proposes to develop a Hotel Cum Convention Centre in Kozhikode city through investments from private sector. The proposed plot admeasuring 2.43 Acres, is located very close to the beach and near the heart of Kozhikode city, Kerala. The proposed project envisages an investment of Rs. 170 Cr (appx.) and INKEL is interested to participate in the development to some extend.

Blooming Calicut Projects getting completed.
Calicut is a historic city which has survived many centuries, it once held prominent place among other ancient Indian cities in trade & economics. Zamorins of calicut had trade relations from Europe to middle east and reached even far east China.
