COMMERCIAL STREETS

Cherooty road.
Cherooty road can be called as the commercial street of calicut, where u get almost all world class brands, u can see some of them in the above uploaded picture, and adding to it a lot of highrises are also popping up, as the one u can see in this picture, the 20 storied Galaxy Ellizium court, a slight face lift can do wonders on this road. Another main road which crosses this one is Redcross road which is also commercially rich with a lot of restaurants and cofee shops like, Cofee beans, EFC, Cafe cofee day, Reliance Fresh store etc.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENTS

Arayidathupalam-jn flyover updates.

Flyover at Arayidathupalam jn, on mavoor road will be inaugrated in the month of september, work on the final span above the circle is under progress, works on appraoch roads from both sides are on their final stages. Once completed this flyover will serve to ease congestion on mavoor road-mini bypass junction.

CITY BEAUTIFICATION

A project on the beautification of Calicut with a view to give the city a face-lift. Calicut is a city at the crossroads. A city known for its rich heritage and traditions, Calicut today is a vibrant, modern center in Kerala with the scope to be a favored IT and tourist destination. Given this scenario the city must be spruced up to vie with other leading cities in the State. The most obvious change must be reflected in the outward appearance. The roadside parks, traffic islands and medians certainly could do with a face lift. The design parameters are in keeping with the traditional framework of the city through a combination of edifices, sculpture etc. in a natural setting with a predominance of flower beds and lush green plants, hedges etc.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENTS

Railway station link road, renovated.

At last, we have some of our roads getting resurfaced and beautified, for example above is our newly renovated busy railwaystation link road, kudos to ULCCS, for completing the work on time and maintaining the quality of work as they have done it before while constructing highways and bypasses in calicut. Works on arayidathupalam flyover & four laning of mini bypass is on full swing, atlast we calicutites have some hope to drive on some good roads in the near future.
